What would it look like if little gnomes and woodland creatures
could create a work of art for all to enjoy?
There is a way for you to find out! Upon close inspection, the owner
and CEO of Ruby Lake Resort, Giorgio Cogrossi,
found that the “little people” had carved
out a deep trench under the 200 year old giant Spruce tree
that towers above and goes right through the newly built Spirit
of
the Rainforest amphitheatre. Guests of the spring
and summer arts/music festivals, which are held at the amphitheater
village, claim to have seen as many as 200 of
the forest gnomes spilling off their seats amid infectious laughter!
See for yourself, or be mesmerized by a relaxing,
outdoor, herbal bath in the forest at the Rainforest Spa. Whichever
you choose, be sure to join Giorgio for the fun,
imagination and creativity of seasonal music performances and
healing arts festivals this spring, as the Spirit
of the Rainforest Village opens, providing a gateway to all
that nature, art and healing have to offer.

Have you ever thought about the stories behind the driver of a motorcoach?
It can’t all be pretty, just imagine - car sick children, fights over
the temperature of the air-conditioning, suitcases that spring open for no
reason, and I could go on! Yet, there are always the fascinating stories as
well – watching
the stunning mauve and marigold sunrise, the family of deer munching at the
entrance to a majestic forest, the interesting passengers from all over the
world… there are many tales to tell if you are the
driver of a motorcoach. International Stage Lines employs such drivers, the
ones that have exceptional narratives and experiences, and go the extra mile
for their passengers. One driver has even chronicled all his unique experiences
into a log book, with dreams of releasing a book one day about his adventures!
International Stage Lines has also welcomed a new 56 passenger coach to their
fleet, where the first three rows offer theatre-style seating, perfect for
views out the front of the bus, and for the coach driver to meet his next
treasured passenger! Visit www.islbc.com for
details.
You are sitting in your living room, comfortable on your sofa
with your feet up beside you and your body sunk deep
down into the cushions. Take a deep, relaxing breath and then
look around. Have you ever wondered what your
home might look like if it doubled as an art gallery? Perhaps
you are one of those lucky design-savvy people
that just happen to have fabulous art displayed in every direction… but
if you aren’t, a visit to the Van Dop
Gallery, in historic New Westminster, just may be in order.
Gallery owner, Trudy Van Dop, promises a shopping
experience unlike any other — right in her own
home and garden! It’s a relaxed, non-intimidating atmosphere
showcasing the work of over 100 contemporary Canadian and international
artists. Guests can browse for a unique gift,
add to their art collection or simply learn more about a particular
artist or medium. The Van Dop Gallery exemplifies
the ‘art of living’.
Trudy’s gallery extends from the garden to the kitchen
to the home office, plus the living and dining
rooms — every
corner of the home is graced by art. See www.vandopgallery.com for more information.
